Ingredients

Chocolate Yogurt Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt such as 2% or whole milk Siggi's or Fage
  • 1 ½ tbsp unsweetened cacao powder such as Terrasoul Superfoods
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup or to taste
  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch fine sea salt

Toppings & Garnish

  • 4 –5 fresh strawberries sliced or fan-cut
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened toasted coconut chips
  • 1 tbsp coarsely chopped raw pistachios

Instructions

Whisk the Chocolate Base

  • In a small mixing bowl or directly in your serving dish, combine the plain Greek yogurt, unsweetened cacao powder, pure maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of fine sea salt.
  • Whisk vigorously with a small fork or mini whisk for 30–45 seconds until completely smooth, glossy, and velvety.

Swoosh & Plate

  • Use the back of a spoon to create light swooshes across the top of the rich chocolate yogurt base.

Add Fresh Toppings

  • Arrange your sliced fresh strawberries neatly down the center, scatter the toasted coconut chips along one edge, and sprinkle the crushed pistachios over the opposite side.

Serve & Enjoy

  • Grab a spoon and enjoy immediately as a refreshing high-protein snack, light breakfast, or healthier chocolate dessert!

Notes

  • Star Ingredients & Flavor Notes: For a rich, premium chocolate flavor, we love whisking Terrasoul Superfoods Raw Organic Cacao Powder with Nielsen-Massey Pure Vanilla Extract and pure maple syrup.
  • The Sweetness Balance: Unsweetened cacao powder and plain Greek yogurt create a wonderfully rich base, but they can lean bitter or tart. Taste your chocolate yogurt mixture before adding toppings, and don't hesitate to whisk in an extra half-teaspoon of maple syrup if your palate prefers a sweeter dessert style.
  • Finishing Touch: For a bakery-style contrast, sprinkle a tiny pinch of flaky sea salt over the strawberries and pistachios right before serving.
